How do I remove VPN? (For Students)
A virtual private network (VPN) gives you online privacy and anonymity by creating a private network from a public internet connection. VPNs mask your internet protocol (IP) address so your online actions are virtually untraceable. Most important, VPN services establish secure and encrypted connections to provide greater privacy than even a secured Wi-Fi hotspot.
VPNs have a variety of uses, however, it has no place at the College. There is a strong wireless protection policy at the College.
Furthermore, installing a VPN onto a school-managed device is a direct violation of the Corpus Christi College Acceptable ICT Use Procedure: "bypassing the systems that have been put in place by the College to protect
students by using a Virtual Private Network (VPN), tunnelling or personal hotspot". (Paragraph 5, Section VI)
Students found to be using a VPN lose access to college services.
