Caring for your Digital Stylus:
By nature, the Digital Styluses sport a convenient and robust design. However, much like any piece of ICT equipment they require a level of reasonable care:
- Charging - When charging your Digital Stylus via the iPad's charging port, it is important to make sure the iPad is on a flat surface where the stylus cannot be bumped
- Keep the stylus in a safe place away from dirt, liquids and foods. The ideal place for storage is in the iPad case which has a built in holder, located in the flap that holds the case closed
- Replacement tips - should the pencil require a replacement tip, please visit the ICT Helpdesk
- Loss or damage - if the stylus incurs any damage or is lost, please contact our Helpdesk
Accidental and non-accidental damage:
All pieces of technology have a reasonably expected lifespan when used as intended and are subject to reasonable 'wear and tear' during their use. Below are examples of what is considered fair wear and tear, versus damage incurred from improper use, or a faulty device:
Fair wear and tear, and faults:
- Minor damage to plastic Stylus nib
- Light scratches/superficial dents
- Stylus not charging when plugged into iPad, despite functioning power button
- Brittle charging plug
Damage incurred by improper use:
- Completely snapped off charging plug
- Charging plugged snapped from being levered when charging
- Completely snapped off Stylus nib and head
- Crushed power button
